Motoakasaka Towers 1001
JPY 1,000,000,000 (negotiable)
Motoakasaka Towers (元赤坂タワーズ) is a 53-residence condominium at 1-7-22 Motoakasaka, Minato-ku, Tokyo, with 13 floors above ground and two below. Shimizu Corporation (清水建設) built it for Dai-ichi Hotel Enterprise (第一ホテルエンタープライズ), which developed and sold the residences, and it was completed in August 1979. Across the road to the north is the Akasaka Estate (赤坂御用地), a Japanese Imperial estate.
*The building*
Motoakasaka Towers has a steel-reinforced concrete (SRC) frame, and owners hold the land as freehold. The site is zoned for commercial use, and on its east side it looks onto the garden of Hotel New Otani and the Benkei-bori moat.
*Shared facilities*
An auto-lock entrance leads into the lobby, and there are intercoms with TV monitors, security cameras and lifts. Cars park in an underground garage where every space is a flat, self-park bay with no mechanical units, and residents also have a bicycle park.
*Residences and access*
At first sale, layouts ran from one-bedroom (1LDK) to four-bedroom (4LDK) plans, and floor areas from about 40 m² to about 202 m². Some residences have been renovated since, so a residence's current layout and size may not match the original plan.
Akasaka-mitsuke Station, on the Tokyo Metro Ginza and Marunouchi lines, is the nearest station. Nagatacho Station, on the Tokyo Metro Hanzomon, Namboku and Yurakucho lines, is also within walking distance, and Yotsuya Station on the JR Chuo Line is a 12-minute walk. The address is in the school district for Minato City's Akasaka Elementary School, part of Akasaka Gakuen.
