Mori Building announced on the 24th of January 2023 that it will open the “Toranomon Hills Station Tower” in the “Toranomon Hills” area of Minato-ku, Tokyo in the fall of 2023. The building is connected directly to the Toranomon Hills Station on the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line and is a 49-story building above ground and 4 stories below ground with offices and a hotel.
The building is 266 meters tall and offices occupy more than half of the building, with 32 floors mainly on the 15th to 44th floors. The “Toranomon Hills” development project will mark the completion of the final high-rise building originally planned.
Each office floor is about 3,400 square meters. From the second basement floor to the seventh floor above ground, about 80 stores including restaurants, shops, gyms, and saunas will open. A 205-room hotel, “Hotel Toranomon Hills,” will open in the 11th to 14th floors.
The top floors (45th to 49th) will be used as an information center, “TOKYO NODE,” with a main hall and gallery covering an area of about 10,000 square meters. It will support events and announcements by companies. There will also be a pool and sky garden on the roof.
The Toranomon Hills Station and Station Tower will be developed as an integrated project, with a square of about 2000 square meters in front of the station. A pedestrian deck will be set up on the Sakura-dori and the convenience of moving around the area will be improved, such as the nearby Toranomon Hills “Mori Tower.”
President Shingo Tsuji of Mori Building said at a press conference on the 24th, “To win the competition between cities and the world, international-standard offices, housing, and information centers are essential. I want to attract global companies and enhance the magnetism of Tokyo with the opening of the Station Tower.”
Upon completion of the “Station Tower,” the total area of the “Toranomon Hills” development project will be significantly increased, and Mori Building aims to cultivate the Toranomon area as an international new city center.
