Tokyo World Gate Akasaka Opens Its Doors In 2024

Tokyo World Gate Akasaka, a new city block and building complex (phase 1) is set to open in August 2024 in Akasaka. The Akasaka district is an important area for the development of international business and commerce in Tokyo, and the Akasaka Trust Tower project is expected to contribute to the area’s growth and development. The building will feature a total floor area of 220,000 square meters. The tower will have 43 floors above ground and 3 floors below, with stores, clinics, historical and cultural facilities, offices, and a hotel. It is connected to Tokyo Metro Tameike-Sanno Station and Kokkai-Gijidomae Station via underground passageways. The building employs a mid-level seismic isolation structure and a cogeneration system and emergency power generation system to provide a continuous power supply in the event of a power outage. In addition to providing new office space and a hotel, the project is also aimed at bolstering the area’s global competitiveness in the tourism industry by establishing Japan brand facilities and displaying Edo-style floats that serve as historical and cultural hubs for overseas visitors. Developed by NTT Urban Development Corporation and Mori Trust with the project’s concept, “Next Destination: Let’s meet again in the city,” this project promises to offer a unique experience for locals and tourists alike.
